Nursing care that speaks your language.

A 90-bed skilled nursing and rehab center beside Starcke Park, where half our staff grew up in Seguin and plenty of them answer in Spanish.

Bienvenidos

Somebody here already knows your family.

Seguin is that kind of town. Our charge nurse taught Sunday school with half the residents' daughters. Our cook makes the same caldo on cold days that her abuela did. When a new resident arrives, there is usually someone on the hall who knows their street.

We are a skilled nursing center first: licensed nurses around the clock, a therapy gym, wound care and a physician who rounds every week. But families tell us they choose us for the small things, like being greeted in the language Grandpa dreams in.

Families in their own words

My father only speaks Spanish when he's tired. At night, the aide who helps him speaks it back. You can't put a price on that.

Three weeks after my knee replacement I walked out the front door with a cane. They had me practicing my own porch steps on the gym stairs.

Mamá was a seamstress for fifty years. The activities director found her a sewing machine, and now she hems the aides' scrubs on Tuesdays. She feels useful again.

What Seguin families ask us

Do you accept Medicare and Medicaid?

Yes. Medicare Part A can cover skilled nursing and rehab after a qualifying hospital stay, and Texas Medicaid covers long-term nursing home care for residents who qualify. Our business office helps with both.

Is there Spanish-speaking staff?

Yes, on every shift. Our admissions paperwork, care conferences and family calls can all be done in Spanish.

Can my mother come straight from the hospital?

Usually, yes. The hospital case manager sends us her information, we confirm a bed and insurance, and we can often admit the same day.

When can we visit?

Any time. Sign in at the front desk after 8 p.m., and feel welcome to join a meal.
