Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, Texas Medicaid and many private plans also cover it.

What does homebound mean?

Leaving home takes a considerable and taxing effort, or needs help, a device or a ride. Doctor visits, church and short outings are still allowed.

Do you work with the VA?

We serve many veterans. Some VA programs authorize home health through community providers; our social worker can help you find out what applies to you.

How soon can care begin?

Usually within 48 hours of the referral, often the day after you get home.

Can I choose Bosque River?

Yes. Medicare patients may choose any certified agency that serves their area. Tell your doctor or the hospital case manager.

Come home. We'll meet you there.
