Good to know

Questions, answered

Does Medicare cover rehab here?

Original Medicare Part A covers skilled nursing and rehab for up to 100 days per benefit period after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay, if you need daily skilled care. Days 1 to 20 are covered in full; from day 21 there is a daily coinsurance. Medicare Advantage and TRICARE For Life have their own rules, and we'll check your coverage for you.

Can I choose Cache Creek after my hospital stay?

Yes. You have the right to choose where you go for rehab. Tell your hospital case manager, and call us so we can get the referral moving.

How long will I stay?

It depends on your surgery or illness and how quickly you gain strength. Many of our patients go home in two to four weeks.

Can my family come to therapy?

Please do. Families who learn the exercises and transfers make going home safer and easier.

What should I pack?

Loose, comfortable clothes, sneakers or shoes with backs, glasses, hearing aids, and a list of your medicines. We'll do the laundry.

Let's get you back outside.

Call or text admissions, or ask your hospital case manager to send a referral. We usually say yes the same day.
