Good to know

What families ask

When should we call hospice?

When a doctor expects the illness to run its course in about six months or less, or when treatment is no longer helping. A call commits you to nothing.

Does Medicare pay for hospice?

Yes. The Medicare hospice benefit covers the care team, medicines, equipment and supplies for the hospice diagnosis, usually with nothing owed.

Which office will care for us?

The office nearest you. All four share one phone number, and the on-call nurse closest to you answers at night.

We live way out. Will you come?

Yes. Our nurses drive section roads every day, and we leave an emergency comfort kit at every home.

Are you a nonprofit?

Yes. We've been an independent nonprofit since 1979, governed by a local board.

What if he gets better?

Some patients do. He can leave hospice at any time and return to treatment, and come back later if needed.

Neighbors since 1979.

Call or text with any question. A hospice nurse will answer, and nothing is decided until you're ready.
