Good to know
Questions, answered
Can we really use the kitchen?
Yes. Every house has a family kitchen with coffee, a fridge shelf for family and a stove you can use with a caregiver nearby.
Which house is right for us?
Usually the one closest to the family who visits most. All three share the same staff standards and leadership.
Can my mother move between houses?
Yes, when a room opens and it's in her best interest.
Is each house secure?
Yes. Doors are coded and alarmed, and the porches and gardens are fenced.
How is memory care paid for?
Most families pay privately or with long-term care insurance. Medicare covers doctor visits and therapy but not room and board. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA pension benefits, and some Arkansans qualify for Medicaid's Living Choices assisted living waiver. Our social worker can help.
How many residents live in each house?
Fourteen.
Are young children welcome?
Absolutely. Every living room has a kids' corner.
How do you handle sundowning?
Lamps on early, music, a porch sit and familiar faces. Most residents settle with routine rather than medication.
Can we bring furniture?
Please: a favorite chair, quilt and photographs.
What happens if needs increase?
We adjust the plan and coordinate hospice so most residents never move again.
Do you offer respite stays?
When a room is available.
Can couples live together?
Yes, in our companion suites.
What is the Courier?
Our monthly family magazine: photos, stories and the calendar, mailed and emailed to every family.
Can family pets visit?
Calm, vaccinated dogs are welcome on the porch.
How often will I hear from you?
The monthly Courier, a quarterly conference and a call whenever anything changes.
Are meals flexible?
A choice at every meal and finger foods when they help.
Is there a chaplain?
Volunteer clergy lead Sunday chapel and visit on request.
What do visits look like?
Whatever works for your family: coffee in the kitchen, a porch swing, a Sunday dinner or joining music hour.
How do we begin?
Call or text. We'll set a tour at the house closest to you.

Come by. Bring the grandkids.
Call or text Hannah, or stop by any house. There's coffee in the family kitchen.
