Welcome to the Commons

A coastal town needs a place to grow old on the coast.

For years, Rockport and Fulton families watched their parents move to San Antonio or Corpus when they needed more care than the house could give. Copano Bay Commons was built so they wouldn't have to leave the water. Our residents still fish off our pier at sunrise, still drive to Saturday breakfast in Fulton, and still know which week the whooping cranes come back to Aransas.

Move in while you're independent, in an apartment or a cottage with a screened porch. If you ever need help, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing are a short walk down the boardwalk, and residents are always first in line.

What residents and families say

I've fished this bay since I was nine. When my wife got sick, the last thing I wanted was to move somewhere I couldn't see it. Now she's in Pelican House and I'm on the pier by six.
Hector R.Resident since 2020
When Harvey was coming, they had Mom on a bus to the inland campus before we'd even finished calling. She came back to a clean apartment and her same aide.
Dana M.Daughter of a resident
Dad's rehab after his knee was in the Health Center, and he could see his own cottage from the therapy gym window. That kept him working.
Brent L.Son of residents
My husband has Alzheimer's. The Dunes staff know he gets restless at four o'clock, so they take him out to watch the boats come in. He calms right down.
Gloria P.Wife of a resident
Seventy-eight and I've never been so busy. Water aerobics, the birding club, Thursday dominoes. My kids have to make an appointment.
Bev S.Resident since 2018
