Weekly

This month's cover story

Recovery goes better with a reason to get up.

Ask our therapists what speeds a rehab stay and they won't start with the equipment. They'll tell you about the patient who worked twice as hard so he could play guitar at Tuesday music hour, or the woman who walked to the dining room for her granddaughter's birthday party. A full calendar is part of the care plan here.

So is the clinical side. Licensed nurses on every hall, a seven-day gym, a wound nurse who rounds with our physician every week. Nate Brunetti grew up three blocks away, and he runs Crawford Hills the way his neighbors would expect: excellent care, and never boring.

— Nate Brunetti, LNHA, administrator

People heal faster when they have something to look forward to. So we keep the nurses sharp, the gym open and the calendar full: music on Tuesday, chicken dinner on Sunday, a party for every birthday.
