Good to know

Questions, answered

Does Medicare cover rehab here?

Original Medicare Part A can cover up to 100 days of skilled nursing and rehab after a qualifying three-day inpatient hospital stay, with days 1–20 fully covered and a daily coinsurance after that. Medicare Advantage plans set their own rules; we check yours before admission.

Do you accept KanCare?

Yes. KanCare, Kansas's Medicaid program, covers long-term nursing care for residents who qualify. Our social services director helps families apply.

Can families join activities and parties?

Please do. Birthday parties, music hour and Sunday dinner are all open to families.

Can I tour before surgery?

Yes. Many joint-replacement patients tour a few weeks ahead and reserve a rehab room for their discharge date.

When can families visit?

Any time. After 8 p.m., ring the front bell and the charge nurse will let you in.

What should I bring for a rehab stay?

Comfortable clothes for exercise, sturdy shoes with backs, glasses, hearing aids and chargers. Bring your guitar if you play.

Come on a Tuesday. Stay for the music.

Tour any day, but Tuesday afternoon is music hour. Call or text Nate and he'll save you a seat.
