The two halves

Skilled care, and somebody who notices.

A good home health visit has two halves. The first is clinical: the wound measured, the lungs listened to, the medicine list checked against the bottles on the counter. The second is human: noticing the stack of unopened mail, the empty refrigerator, the way your mother's voice sounds today compared to Tuesday.

Lorraine Harjo-Bell founded Deep Fork in 2002 after twenty years as a public health nurse in Okmulgee County, and she hires for both halves. Our nurses are excellent at the first. They're chosen for the second.
