Good to know
Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans and Texas Medicaid also cover it.
Medicare home health plans of care run in sixty-day periods. Many patients finish sooner. If you still qualify at day sixty, your doctor can renew the plan.
Leaving home takes considerable and taxing effort, or needs help, a device or a ride. Church, the doctor and the barber are still allowed.
Usually within 48 hours of the referral, often the day after you get home.
