Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. SoonerCare, most Medicare Advantage plans and many private plans also cover it. Indian Health Service and tribal health patients: ask us, and our social worker will help coordinate.

What is the neighbor gift fund?

Donations from local families, churches and businesses that pay for supplies, equipment and care that insurance doesn't cover, for patients who need help. Ask your nurse or call the office.

Do I need to be bedbound?

No. Homebound means leaving home takes considerable and taxing effort, or needs help or a device. You can still go to church, the doctor or the barber.

How far out do you go?

All of Cherokee, Adair, Sequoyah and Wagoner counties, including Stilwell, Sallisaw, Hulbert, Park Hill, Fort Gibson and the roads between.

Can I donate or volunteer?

Yes, and thank you. Gifts go to the neighbor fund and the equipment closet. Volunteers help with our blood-pressure clinics and drive equipment out to patients.

Sixty-five years of house calls. Yours could be next week.
