The Hagerman wildlife refuge on Lake Texoma is where generations of Grayson County families have watched the geese come in each fall. Our founders wanted a name that meant rest and return.
We added a simple rule: before anyone writes a care plan, someone sits down and learns who the patient has been. It's still the first page of every chart.
A volunteer photographer offered to take family portraits at home. Now every family is offered one, free, framed.
Our volunteers have recorded more than four hundred life stories. Families can request copies any time, forever.
