Good to know
Questions, answered
Who pays for home health?
Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a physician's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, Texas Medicaid and many private plans also cover it. We confirm coverage before the first visit.
Why do your first visits take an hour?
Because the first visit sets up everything that follows: a full health history, every medication reviewed, a home safety check and a plan you help write. Follow-up visits are usually shorter.
What does homebound mean?
Leaving home takes a considerable and taxing effort, or requires help, a device or a ride. Medical appointments, church and short outings are still allowed.
Can I choose Hickory Street?
Yes. Medicare patients may choose any certified agency that serves their area. Tell your physician or hospital case manager.
Where do you provide care?
Throughout Denton, Cooke and Wise counties, including Denton, Lewisville, Krum, Sanger, Argyle, Gainesville and Decatur.
