Good to know

Questions, answered

Why cottages instead of one building?

Smaller homes are calmer. With twelve residents, the noise level drops, faces stay familiar and caregivers can follow each person's routine instead of a facility schedule.

Is the campus secure?

Yes. Each cottage has coded, alarmed doors, and the creek path and grounds are fenced. Residents can walk outdoors freely and safely.

How is memory care paid for?

Most families pay privately or with long-term care insurance. Medicare covers doctor visits and therapy but not room and board. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA pension benefits, and some Arkansans qualify for Medicaid's Living Choices assisted living waiver. Our social worker will walk you through it.

Can couples live together?

Yes. Our companion suites are designed for married couples or siblings, even if only one of them has a dementia diagnosis.

What should we bring on move-in day?

Familiar things: a favorite chair, bedding, photographs, a lamp, comfortable clothes with name labels. We'll help you set up the room so it looks like home before the first night.

Can residents leave for family outings?

Absolutely. Sign out at the Welcome Cottage, and let us know about meals or medications you'll need.

What happens if needs increase?

We update the care plan and coordinate hospice when the time comes, so most residents never move again. If skilled nursing becomes necessary, we'll help you find the right place nearby.

When can families visit?

Any time, day or evening. Every cottage keeps a guest chair at the table.

There's a rocking chair with your name on it.

Bring your questions and your walking shoes. Call or text Ruth Ann, and she'll meet you at the Welcome Cottage.
