Newton, Kansas · since 1956

Plain living. Abundant care.

Cottages, apartments and every level of care on eighty acres of prairie north of Newton, rooted in seventy years of neighbors keeping their promises.

Welcome

Seventy years of keeping our word.

Kidron Hill was started in 1956 by Mennonite farm families who had settled this county with Turkey Red wheat seed sewn into their coats. They wanted their parents to grow old on the prairie they had farmed, among the people they had worshipped with, not in a city hospital two counties away.

Today Kidron Hill welcomes people of every faith and none. We have cottages and apartments, assisted living, memory care and a skilled nursing center, all on eighty acres of prairie and orchard. Residents still bake zwieback on Saturdays, still run the quilting room, and still walk the mile loop to the cemetery hill to watch the sun go down over the wheat.

We believe a good life is made of ordinary things done faithfully: bread on the table, a neighbor at the door, a hand to hold at the end. We don't promise luxury. We promise that you will be known here, cared for here, and never moved away from the people who love you.
