Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, Texas Medicaid and many private plans also cover it.

Can my family be there during visits?

Yes, please! We teach as we go, and the more family members who know the plan, the better recovery tends to go.

What does homebound mean?

Leaving home takes a considerable and taxing effort, or needs help, a device or a ride. Church, the doctor and a grandkid's ballgame are still allowed now and then.

How soon can you start?

Usually within 48 hours of the referral, often the day after you get home.

What areas do you serve?

Brown, Coleman, Mills and Comanche counties, including Brownwood, Early, Bangs, Coleman, Goldthwaite, Comanche and around Lake Brownwood.

Ready when your family is.

Call, text, or ask your doctor or the hospital to send the referral to Kinfolk Home Health.
