Good to know

Questions families ask

Do you have Spanish-speaking staff?

Yes. Every nurse, aide, social worker and chaplain can care for families in English or Spanish, including the nurses who answer at night.

What happens during a hurricane?

Every patient has a written storm plan. We help arrange medicines, oxygen, power needs and evacuation, and we stay in touch wherever you go.

Does Medicare pay for hospice?

Yes. The Medicare hospice benefit covers the team, medicines, equipment and supplies for the hospice diagnosis, usually with nothing owed.

When should we call?

When a doctor expects the illness to run its course in about six months or less, or when treatment is no longer helping. A call commits you to nothing.

Can she stop hospice?

Yes. Hospice is always a choice. She can leave hospice and return to treatment, and come back later if needed.

Call us. Llámenos. We're here.

A hospice nurse answers every hour in English or Spanish. Nothing is decided until you're ready.
