Bella Vista, Arkansas

A quieter shore. Every level of care.

Lakeside residences and cottages in the Ozark hills, with assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing a short walk along the water.

A husband and wife at the lake's edge, she on the shoreline swing and he leaning in beside her

Welcome

Unhurried, by intention.

Bella Vista was built for people who wanted the second half of life to be calmer than the first: the lakes, the trails, the golf, and the hills turning red and gold every October. Lake Windsor Residences sits on the quietest stretch of shoreline in town, with the water on one side and the woods on the other.

Residents live in lakeside apartments and stone cottages. When they need more, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing are part of the same campus and the same promise. Nothing here is loud. Everything here is looked after.

Sample family reviews

In residents' words

We looked at places in Scottsdale and Naples. We came back to the lake. It's quieter, and the people stay.
Robert and Anne C.Residents since 2017
I kayak at seven, swim at ten and read on the porch all afternoon. Nobody here asks me to hurry.
Margaret H.Resident since 2020
When Dad moved to Larkspur House, Mom walked the shore path to see him twice a day. It's a ten-minute walk. It saved her.
Laura E.Daughter of residents
My rehab after the hip was in the Health Center, and my cottage was right up the lane. My wife brought my mail every afternoon.
Jim P.Resident since 2016
I retired from Walmart's home office after thirty years of meetings. The only meeting I go to now is the Thursday book club.
Carol S.Resident since 2021
They explained the contract three different ways until we understood it. Then they gave it to us in writing.
David and June M.Residents since 2022
Mother's last months were in the Health Center, with the lake outside her window and the chaplain stopping by every day. We couldn't have asked for more.

Insurance & payment

Understanding the cost

Life plan communities are paid for differently than other senior living. Here's the short version.

Entrance fee

A one-time fee at move-in. Depending on the plan, part may be refundable.

Monthly fee

Covers your residence, dining, services and amenities. Under a life care contract it stays steadier if you need more care.

Medicare

Covers short-term skilled nursing and rehab after a qualifying hospital stay. It does not cover independent or assisted living.

Long-term care insurance

Many policies help with assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing. We'll help you file.

Veterans' benefits

Some veterans and surviving spouses qualify for VA pension benefits that help with care costs. Ask our business office.
