Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, Texas Medicaid and many private plans also cover it.

¿Tienen enfermeras que hablan español?

Sí. More than half of our nurses and therapists speak Spanish, and our office staff are bilingual. Tell us when you call.

Do you visit Port Aransas and Mustang Island?

Yes. We schedule regular island routes, ferry and all.

What happens during hurricane season?

Before August, your nurse reviews your medication supply, oxygen and equipment needs and helps you write an evacuation plan. During a storm, our nurse line stays open.

Can I choose Oso Bay?

Yes. Medicare patients may choose any certified agency that serves their area. Tell your doctor or the hospital case manager.

Leaving the hospital? Ask for Oso Bay.

You have the right to choose your home health agency. Tell the case manager, or call us and we'll handle the rest.
