Care level
Assisted living · Hot Springs, Arkansas
Sixty-four apartments in the pines above Lake Hamilton, a warm-water pool kept at ninety-two degrees, and the help you need to keep doing the things you love.
The idea
For a hundred and fifty years people have come to Hot Springs to soak, walk and get their strength back. We built Ouachita Springs in 1998 on that same idea: warm water, fresh air, good food and enough help that nobody has to struggle alone.
The help is the serious part. A licensed nurse oversees every care plan and medication. Caregivers are awake all night. But most days here look like this: a slow swim before breakfast, a walk on the trail, lunch on the porch and an argument about the crossword.
— Hollis Grantham, executive director

Our team

Executive Director
Hollis grew up on Lake Hamilton and spent fifteen years managing a hotel downtown before he came to Ouachita Springs in 2012. He still greets every new resident at the door.

Wellness Director
Danielle writes and reviews every care plan and runs our medication program. She came to us from a cardiac unit in Little Rock.

Life Enrichment Director
Lena plans the trips, the pool classes and the lecture nights, and she is the one who talked the marina into an accessible pontoon ramp.

Executive Chef
Andrés trained in Dallas restaurant kitchens and cooks from scratch here. He keeps a running list of every resident's favorite dessert.

Admissions Coordinator
Margo helps families through the first call, the tour, the paperwork and moving day, and checks in again after the first week.
Sample family reviews
Daddy has bad knees and hadn't walked a block in two years. Six weeks of water walking in that pool and he's doing the first mile of the trail.
Mother wanted to live in Hot Springs her whole life. She finally does, and she has a better view than we do.
Danielle noticed my mother's blood pressure creeping up and called her doctor the same afternoon. They adjusted one pill and she's been fine since.
I swim every morning at seven. At eighty-eight. Put that on your website.
The pontoon ride was the first time Dad had been on the lake since he sold his boat. He talked about it for a month.
They were honest with us about cost from the first phone call. That mattered more than the pool, and the pool is very nice.
For families
The practical things, so a visit can just be a visit.
Sign in at the front desk. Guest meals are a few dollars, and the porch is first come, first served.
Danielle calls after every care-plan review and any time something changes. Most families also get a monthly photo email.
Sit down with the nurse and the director at move-in, after thirty days and whenever you ask.
Mail goes to the apartment daily. Label clothing with a name and we'll launder it on site.
Work with us
Paid training, steady schedules and the best break room view in Garland County.
Visit
Grandchildren are welcome in the pool with a grown-up on Saturday afternoons.

Call or text Hollis to plan a visit. Guests can try the pool on any tour.
