Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, KanCare and many private plans also cover it.

How far out do you go?

All of Ellis, Rush, Russell and Trego counties, including Hays, Victoria, Ellis, Russell, WaKeeney, La Crosse and the farms between.

What does homebound mean?

Leaving home takes a considerable and taxing effort, or needs help, a device or a ride. Church, the doctor and the barber are still allowed.

How soon can care begin?

Usually within 48 hours of the referral, often the day after you get home.

Can I borrow equipment?

Yes. Our loan closet has walkers, shower chairs and commodes, free while you wait on insurance or just need something for a few weeks.
