Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a physician's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, Texas Medicaid and many private plans also cover it.

What does homebound mean?

Leaving home takes considerable and taxing effort, or needs help, a device or a ride. Medical appointments, church and occasional short outings are still allowed.

How soon can care begin?

Usually within 48 hours of the referral, often the day after you come home.

Do you serve Sun City?

Yes, along with Georgetown, Round Rock, Leander, Taylor, Liberty Hill, Burnet, Marble Falls and the areas between.

Can I choose San Gabriel?

Yes. Medicare patients may choose any certified home health agency that serves their area. Tell your physician or the hospital case manager.

We'd be glad to help.

Call the office, or ask your physician or hospital case manager to send the referral to San Gabriel Home Health.
