Good to know

Straight answers

What is adult day health?

A licensed daytime program with nursing, therapy, meals and activities for adults who live at home but should not be alone all day. Members go home every evening.

Why are your hours so long?

Because caregivers work shifts. We open at 6:30 a.m., close at 6:30 p.m., and run a Saturday program.

Who is a good fit?

Adults living with dementia, recovering from a stroke or surgery, managing diabetes, heart failure or Parkinson's, or too isolated at home. A nurse does an assessment before the first day.

How do families pay?

Privately by the day or half day, or through VA benefits, long-term care insurance and Oklahoma Medicaid waiver programs for those who qualify. Medicare generally does not cover adult day. Our social worker checks your options.

Do you take members who use a wheelchair?

Yes. The floor is level, every door is wide, and our vans have lifts.

What area do the vans cover?

Most of the Oklahoma City metro inside the loop, plus Edmond, Bethany and Warr Acres. Call us with your address.

Can my dad do therapy here?

Yes, with a doctor's order. Our therapists coordinate with his physician and many insurance plans cover therapy services.

What about memory care?

Members living with dementia spend part of the day in a smaller program room with staff trained in dementia care, and join the floor for meals and music.

What happens in an emergency?

Our nurses respond right away. We call 911 first if needed, then you.

Can Mom come only half days?

Yes. Half days run 6:30 to 12:30 or 12:30 to 6:30.

Can we try it first?

Yes. Your first day is free, lunch and the van included.

Come in at 6:30. We'll have coffee on.
