Why we built it

Not a facility. A house with very good staff.

Renée Calloway spent fifteen years as a hospital case manager in Oklahoma City, helping families find a place for a parent on a two-day deadline. Too often the choices were a big building with a long hallway or nothing at all. In 2016 she built the third option: a limestone house on two acres in east Edmond, fourteen suites around a great room, and a kitchen run by a real chef.

Residents here get help with whatever the day requires, from a shower to a morning walk to a careful eye on medications. They also get privacy, quiet and a door that closes. Families tell us the calm is the first thing they notice, and the second is that everyone on staff greets their mother by name.

Sample family reviews

From Stoneleigh families

The calm hit me the moment we walked in. No overhead pages, no carts in the hall. Just a house, and someone in the kitchen making bread.
Kimberly A.Daughter of a resident
Dad walks the oak path every morning with Keisha. His doctor asked what changed, because his numbers are the best in years.
Brandon T.Son of a resident
Mother is particular, to put it kindly. Andre has learned exactly how she likes her eggs, and he has never once complained.
Susan M.Daughter of a resident
Holly called me after every care plan review with a summary and a list of questions for me. I always knew where things stood.
Rachel D.Niece of a resident
We toured six places in Edmond and Oklahoma City. This was the only one where Mom said, I could live here.

The university students' piano recital was the first time I had seen my husband tap his foot in a year.
