Is Stoneleigh House assisted living or a nursing home?
Neither, exactly. We are a residential care home licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. We help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, meals and medications, in a small home setting. We do not provide round-the-clock skilled nursing.
How is care paid for?
Most residents pay privately, often with long-term care insurance. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA Aid and Attendance. Ask our office and we will walk you through what may apply to your family.
Are the suites furnished?
They can be either way. Many residents bring their own bed, chairs and pictures. We provide furniture for anyone who would rather not move theirs.
Can residents bring a car?
Residents who still drive are welcome to keep a car on site, and we are glad to drive anyone who would rather not.
What happens if care needs grow?
Many needs can be met here with home health or hospice visiting. If a resident needs more nursing than we can safely provide, we help the family plan the next step and stay involved through the move.
