Physical therapy
Walking, balance, stairs and strength, seven days a week.
Medicare Part ANursing & rehabilitation · Claremore, Oklahoma
A 96-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center on the north side of Claremore, with therapy seven days a week and a licensed nurse on every hall, every hour.
No. 01 · Two ways to stay
Short-stay patients come to us after a new hip, a stroke or a hard hospital stay, and their job is to get strong enough to go home. Our therapists work with them seven days a week in a gym with a practice kitchen, a car door and a flight of real stairs, because that's what home asks of you.
Long-term residents come to stay, and for them we keep the same nurses on the same halls, the same seat at lunch and the same Friday-night domino game in the parlor. Both kinds of stay deserve our best. Terrence Walker has run the building with that rule for fourteen years.

New knee on a Tuesday, here by Thursday, home in seventeen days. The therapists pushed me exactly as hard as I needed.
After Mom's stroke, the speech therapist got her swallowing safely again. She had her first cup of coffee in a month and cried.
Dad has lived on the east hall for five years. Same nurse, same aides, same seat at dominoes.
Amanda helped us apply for SoonerCare when Mom's savings ran out. I didn't know where to start.
They practiced getting me in and out of their car until I could do it without thinking. Then I went home and did it in mine.
I toured three places before my surgery. This was the only one where the therapy director came out to meet me.
The night nurse calls me when Mom has a bad night, before I hear it from anyone else.
My husband's last months were in their care with hospice. He never had to move rooms, and nobody ever rushed us.
Sunday dinner with Grandpa is a family tradition now. The pot roast is better than mine.
