Good to know

Questions, answered

What is a life plan community?

A campus offering independent living plus assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing, so residents can stay as their needs change. Whitmire Place residents have priority for every level of care on campus.

What contracts do you offer?

A life care contract, with an entrance fee and monthly fees that stay more predictable if you need more care, and a monthly rental with no entrance fee. We'll lay out both, in writing, for your situation.

Does Medicare pay for any of this?

Medicare does not cover independent living, assisted living or long-term custodial care. Original Medicare Part A can cover short-term skilled nursing and rehab in our Bishop Wing after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Yes, in our skilled nursing wing. Our business office can help you understand Texas Medicaid eligibility and the application.

Do I have to belong to one of the founding churches?

No. Our founders were six congregations, but Whitmire Place has always welcomed people of every faith and of none.

Sweet tea's on the porch. Come on by.

Call Josephine's office or book a tour online. We'll save you a rocking chair.
