Skilled nursing & rehabilitation · Fort Smith, Arkansas
Ninety-six beds, a therapy gym that opens at seven, and a nurse on every hall all night. Short stays and long ones, a mile from the river.

A word from Lorena
Most nursing homes are loud. Call lights ringing, televisions on in empty rooms, carts rattling down the hall at five in the morning. When we renovated in 2019, we asked residents what they wanted changed, and nearly all of them said the same thing: make it quieter. So we did. Silent call pagers for the nurses, carpeted halls, a no-TV rule in the dining room, and lights that dim on their own after nine.
None of that replaces good nursing, and we never let it. We keep a registered nurse in the building around the clock, our therapists see rehab patients six days a week, and our medical director rounds every Tuesday and Friday. The calm is just how we choose to do the hard part.

Director of Nursing
Twenty-six years a nurse, nine of them in the ICU across town. Patrice built our wound program and still covers a night shift once a month so she knows what the halls feel like at 3 a.m.

Medical Director
A Fort Smith internist who rounds at Belle Point twice a week and is on call for our nurses every night.

Therapy Director
Miguel leads our team of physical, occupational and speech therapists. He measures his year in discharges home, and he rings the bell at the front desk for every one.
Sample family reviews
I was in for three weeks after my knee. It was the first place in a month I actually slept through the night, and Miguel had me on the stairs by day five.
Mother has lived at Belle Point for four years. The same two aides have taken care of her almost the whole time. That kind of steadiness is rare, and we know it.
Patrice called me at seven in the morning to say Dad had a fever overnight, what they'd done and what the doctor ordered. I never had to chase anybody for information.
The social worker sat with us for an hour to sort out the Medicaid paperwork. We'd been dreading it for months. She made it a Tuesday afternoon.
My husband had a stroke and lost most of his words. The speech therapist never once rushed him. He told me he loved me on day nineteen.
