The idea

Vivian Ashford spent ten years watching patients struggle to sleep in hospitals and nursing homes. She wanted a building designed for rest.

Chapter 02

The building

Carpeted halls, private rooms, warm lamps and call lights that ring silently on nurses' phones.

The library with wooden shelves and reading chairs
Chapter 03

The night shift

Our most experienced nurses work nights, and care is clustered so patients are woken as little as possible.

Chapter 04

The gym

Daytime is for work: a seven-day therapy gym with a practice suite, a car and a full flight of stairs.
