Nursing & rehabilitation · Waxahachie, Texas

Quiet halls. Skilled hands. Rest that heals.

A 72-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center west of the courthouse square, designed to feel calm at every hour: private rooms, low light at night and a licensed nurse on every hall.

A different kind of nursing home

Built for the hours when healing happens.

Most of recovery happens at night, when the body rests and repairs. So we built Blackland to be quiet: carpeted halls, private rooms, call lights that ring at the nurses' station instead of overhead, and lamps that dim after supper. Patients sleep. Sleep helps them heal.

Daytime is for work. Our therapy gym runs seven days a week, our nurses carry small caseloads, and our medical director rounds three days a week. Long-term residents get the same calm, along with Sunday tea in the library and a dining room that feels like a good restaurant.
