Good to know

Questions, answered

Will Medicare pay for my stay?

Original Medicare Part A covers rehab in a skilled nursing facility for up to 100 days per benefit period after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay, if you need daily skilled care. Days 1 to 20 are fully covered; from day 21 there is a daily coinsurance. Medicare Advantage plans have their own rules, and we'll check yours for you.

How fast can I be admitted?

Most days we can accept a patient the same day the hospital calls. Ask your case manager to send a referral to Cadron Creek, or call our admissions line.

Can my family watch therapy?

Yes, and we hope they will. Families who learn the exercises and transfers make the trip home easier.

What if I can't go home safely?

We'll talk with you honestly about the options, including home health, assisted living or long-term care here. We accept Medicaid for long-term stays.

What should I bring?

Clothes you can exercise in, supportive shoes with backs, your glasses and hearing aids, and a list of medications. We wash the laundry.

Your discharge date starts with a phone call.

Call admissions or tell your hospital case manager you'd like to come to Cadron Creek. We can usually accept the same day.
