Good to know
Questions, answered
When should we call hospice?
When a doctor expects the illness to run its course in about six months or less, or when treatment is no longer helping. Calling to ask questions commits you to nothing.
Who pays for hospice?
Medicare's hospice benefit covers the care team, medicines, supplies and equipment for the hospice diagnosis, usually with nothing owed by the family. SoonerCare and most private plans cover hospice as well.
Can Mom stay in her nursing home?
Yes. We visit patients in their own homes, in assisted living and in nursing homes across our five counties. Room and board in a nursing home is billed separately; our social worker can explain the details.
What if he gets better?
It happens. Patients can leave hospice at any time and return to regular treatment, and come back to hospice later if they need it.
Do you serve the lake?
Yes. We visit homes around Lake Murray and on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma every week.

You don't have to decide today.
Call and ask anything. A hospice nurse will answer, and nobody will rush you.
