Our story

A dozen refinery families pooled their savings, bought forty acres above Lake Ponca, and planted redbuds along the first road before a single building went up.

Twenty-four cottages opened with a shared dining hall. The first residents included a refinery chemist, two schoolteachers and the town's longtime piano tuner.

Eastmoor Health Center opened so residents who needed nursing care wouldn't have to move to Enid or Wichita. Marland House assisted living followed in 1996.
