Our team

Owner and operator
Gail married into the family in 1991 and took over from her mother-in-law Edna in 2009. She gives every tour herself.

Consulting registered nurse
Joanne reviews each resident's health monthly and trains our medication aides. Forty years of nursing in Morris and Lyon counties.

Lead caregiver
Rita has worked here twenty-two years. She knew half our residents before they moved in, from church or the school cafeteria.

Night caregiver
Marcus keeps the house safe and quiet overnight and makes the coffee that greets the morning shift.

Cook
Dolores learned to cook in Edna's kitchen and still uses her recipe cards. Her bierocks sell out at the church bazaar.

Business office and maintenance
Edna's grandson handles billing, insurance paperwork and anything that squeaks, leaks or needs a ladder.
Sample family reviews
My grandmother lived here in 1995. Now my mother does. Same porch, same pie, and Rita knew both of them.
Dad farmed outside Dwight for sixty years. They let him feed the hens every morning, and he has opinions about every one of them.
Tyler sat with me for two hours sorting out the VA paperwork. He would not let me leave until it was done right.
We live in Kansas City. The weekly phone call from Gail is how I know my mother is doing well, and it has never once been late.
Mother taught first grade in White City for thirty-one years. Two of her old students work here now. She still calls them by their last names.
The quilt they finished in the parlor last winter is on my bed. Mom put in about three stitches and supervised the rest.
When Dad passed, the whole staff came to the funeral. That is Council Grove, and that is Elm Hollow.
