What is a home plus?
A home plus is a small adult care home licensed by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services for no more than twelve residents. We provide personal care, supervision, meals and help with medications in a home setting. We are not a nursing home and do not provide round-the-clock skilled nursing.
Do you accept KanCare?
Some residents qualify for help paying for care through KanCare home and community based services. Tyler in our business office can tell you whether we can accept it for your family and help with the application.
Can my mother keep her own doctor?
Yes. We drive residents to their own doctors in Council Grove and Emporia and share notes with every provider.
Is the house accessible?
The main floor is level, with ramps at the back porch. Two rooms have private baths with walk-in showers. Upstairs rooms are served by a stair lift.
What happens if care needs grow?
Many residents stay with us through the end of life, with a hospice team visiting. If someone needs more nursing than we can provide, we help the family plan the next step.
