Physical therapy
Strength, gait and balance, on stairs, ramps and the outdoor walking course.
Medicare Part A
Short-term rehabilitation · Hot Springs, Arkansas
A private-suite rehab hotel above Hot Springs: therapy twice a day, a thermal-water pool, and registered nurses every hour you're here.
The Ember Hill way
People have come to Hot Springs to get well since before Arkansas was a state. The bathhouses on Central Avenue were America's original rehab centers. Ember Hill keeps that tradition, with less marble and a lot more science: a therapy gym the size of a basketball court, a 94-degree pool fed by warm water, and a medical team that rounds every day.
Every patient has a private suite, a dedicated therapy team and two sessions a day, six days a week. Evenings are quiet. Dinner is served on china. We think recovery goes better when you sleep well and eat well, and when the people around you treat you like a guest who's here to work.

Our team

Administrator
Vivian ran a resort in Hot Springs Village before she ran Ember Hill. She brought the turndown service with her.

Medical Director
A physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who rounds at Ember Hill every weekday morning.

Director of Therapy
Joseph designed the pool program and the outdoor walking course. Eighteen years in rehab, eleven at Ember Hill.

Director of Nursing
Rosa trained in cardiac ICU before coming home to Garland County. She knows every patient's chart, and most of their grandchildren.

Admissions Director
Danielle takes calls from hospitals, surgeons and worried families seven days a week. Most admissions happen the same day she hears about them.
Sample family reviews
Two sessions a day sounded like a lot. By day four I was asking for a third. I went home from my knee replacement in fifteen days and played nine holes in six weeks.
The pool is the reason my mother walked again after her hip. She was scared on land. In the water she was fearless.
After my heart surgery I didn't trust my own body. The nurses checked on me all night, every night, and never once made me feel like a bother.
We live in Little Rock. They called us after every weekly meeting and sent videos of Dad's sessions. We felt like we were there.
Dinner on real plates, a private shower, a quiet room. I've stayed in worse hotels. I've never worked so hard in one, either.
My speech came back slowly after the stroke. My therapist never rushed me and never let me quit. I gave a toast at my grandson's wedding in June.
