Good to know

Questions, answered

What kind of care does Goldenrod House provide?

We are a residential care home licensed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. We help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, meals and medications, with caregivers awake around the clock. We do not provide round-the-clock skilled nursing.

Can residents in wheelchairs garden?

Yes. Our raised beds are built at wheelchair height, the garden paths are paved and level, and a caregiver is always out with residents.

How do families pay?

Most residents pay privately or with long-term care insurance. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA Aid and Attendance. Gwen will walk you through what may apply.

Can residents keep their own doctors?

Yes. We drive residents to their own doctors and share notes. A visiting physician also sees residents here monthly.

What happens if care needs grow?

Many residents stay with us through the end of life with hospice visiting. If someone needs more care than we can safely give, Lena helps the family plan the next step.
