Good to know

Questions, answered

Who pays for home health?

Medicare covers home health in full for patients who are homebound and need part-time skilled nursing or therapy under a doctor's plan of care. Most Medicare Advantage plans, Arkansas Medicaid and many private plans also cover it. We confirm your coverage before the first visit.

What happens when I call at night?

The main number forwards to the on-call registered nurse, who can see your chart. She can talk you through symptoms, call your doctor, or come to the house when a visit is needed.

Do you have nurses who speak Spanish or Vietnamese?

Yes. Several of our nurses and therapists are bilingual, and we use a medical interpreter line for any other language.

How soon can care start?

Usually within 48 hours of the referral, and often the day after discharge.

Can I choose Massard if the hospital suggests someone else?

Yes. Medicare patients have the right to choose any certified home health agency that serves their area. Just tell the case manager.
