Good to know

Ask the front desk

Does Medicare cover a stay here?

In most cases, Medicare Part A covers skilled nursing and therapy after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay of at least three days: in full for the first 20 days, then with a daily copay up to day 100, as long as you still need skilled care. Our business office checks your benefits before you come.

What is KanCare?

KanCare is the Kansas Medicaid program, and it can pay for long-term nursing home care for people who qualify. We'll help your family understand the application and what records to gather.

Can my own doctor still see me?

Usually, yes. Many local physicians visit their patients here. If your doctor doesn't, our medical director can follow your care.

Can we bring Mom's own furniture?

Please do. A favorite chair, a quilt, family pictures and a small dresser all help a room feel like home. We'll check anything electrical for safety.

Stop in for coffee. We'll show you around.

No appointment needed for a quick look. For a full tour or a hospital referral, call the front desk and ask for Lorraine.
