The recovery plan, section by section

Every stay begins with an evaluation by a physical therapist, an occupational therapist and a nurse within 24 hours of arrival. Your plan is written around the house you are going back to.

Therapy

Six days a week, up to two sessions a day

Physical therapy
Strength, balance and walking, practiced on real stairs, ramps and curbs in our gym.

Warm-water pool therapy
A 92-degree pool with a ramp entry, for joint replacements, back surgery and arthritis.

Occupational therapy
Dressing, bathing, cooking and getting in and out of a car, in our practice kitchen and bath.

After a stroke or a long illness: speech, memory and safe swallowing.

Registered and licensed practical nurses on every shift

Post-surgical and orthopedic care
Pain control, incision care and the precautions your surgeon ordered.

Planning starts the day you arrive

Home safety visit before discharge
A therapist visits your house, measures the doorways and tells you which grab bars to buy.

The people who will help at home learn transfers and exercises alongside the patient.
