Good to know

Questions, answered

What makes memory care different from assisted living?

Memory care is built for people living with Alzheimer's and other dementias: a secure building, staff with dementia training, a calmer pace and days organized around what each person can still enjoy. Rosalind Hall cares only for people with memory loss.

How is memory care paid for?

Most families pay privately or with long-term care insurance. Medicare does not pay for room and board, though it does cover doctor visits and some therapies. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA pension benefits that help. Our business office will go through your options with you.

Can my mother bring her own furniture?

Please. A favorite chair, a quilt, family photographs and her own dresser help a room feel like hers from the first night.

Is the Hall secure?

Yes. Doors are keypad-coded and alarmed, and the rose garden is fully fenced, so residents can walk outside on their own.

What if my dad's needs increase?

We update the care plan as needs change and bring in hospice when it's time, so most residents never have to move again. If someone needs skilled nursing we can't safely provide, we help the family find the right place.

Come for tea. We'll show you around.

Tea is at three every afternoon, and tours are welcome to join it. Call Patricia or the front desk.
