Chapter 01

Omaha to the Ozarks

Chapter 02

The lodge on Kingsland

In 2009 she leased an old golf-community lodge above Lake Windsor, widened the doors, put in a kitchen and a shower suite and opened with fourteen members. Her father was the first.

Chapter 03

A town of transplants

Our members came from eleven states. Most of their children live far away, so we built the weekly email, the video care conferences and the long-distance phone tree that families depend on.

Today

Forty-some members come on a typical day. We added therapy in 2015 and the Parkinson's class in 2018, and we still get to the water every week the weather allows.
