Medicare Part ANursing & rehab · Chickasha, Oklahoma
Terra Rosa is a 90-bed nursing and rehabilitation center on the west side of Chickasha, with short-stay therapy six days a week and long-term care from nurses who stay for decades.
A letter from our administrator
Most of the people who come to Terra Rosa have spent their lives in Grady County. They taught at the high school, ran cattle out past Ninnekah, worked the cotton gin or the Rock Island depot. Some come to us for three weeks after a new hip. Some come to stay. Either way, they come carrying a whole life, and we think the first job of good nursing is to know it.
So our charge nurses learn the names of grandchildren. Our therapists ask what you want to get back to, not just how far you can walk. Our dietary staff learn who wants cornbread and who wants a biscuit. And every evening, someone on every hall takes the time to say goodnight properly. It is not complicated. It just takes people who mean it.
— Lydia Fairchild, administrator

The Sunday dinners are the best part. My whole family comes, and nobody rushes us out.
