Good to know
Before you visit
Is The Whitlock licensed?
Yes. We are a licensed assisted living facility under the Arkansas Office of Long Term Care. Ask us for our most recent inspection and we'll hand it to you.
What does a month cost?
Rent depends on the apartment, and personal care is added in levels after our nurse's assessment. We give every family a written estimate at the first visit, with every fee on it.
Will Medicare or Medicaid pay?
Medicare does not pay for assisted living rent or personal care. Arkansas has a Medicaid waiver program for assisted living in some licensed residences; The Whitlock is private pay, and many families use long-term care insurance or VA Aid & Attendance. Our business office is glad to talk it through.
What happens if Mom needs more care later?
Most changes can be handled right here by adjusting the care level or bringing in home health or hospice. If she ever needs round-the-clock skilled nursing, we'll help you find the right place and stay with you through the move.
Can residents come and go?
Of course. Residents who drive keep their cars in the courtyard, and our car service runs most days. Just let the front desk know when you'll be out late.
Are pets welcome?
Small dogs and cats are welcome in most apartments. The house cat, Bodoni, has strong opinions but is generally willing to share.

Come see it with the lamps on.
