Good to know

Questions, answered

Does Medicare cover a stay here?

Original Medicare Part A covers skilled nursing and rehab for up to 100 days per benefit period after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay, if you need daily skilled care. Days 1 to 20 are covered in full; from day 21 there's a daily coinsurance. Medicare Advantage plans set their own rules, and we'll verify yours.

Are all suites private?

Yes. Every short-stay patient has a private suite with a walk-in shower, at no extra charge.

Can I choose Tomahawk Creek?

Yes. You have the right to choose your post-hospital rehab provider. Tell your hospital case manager and call us so we can start the referral.

Do you offer long-term care?

Our focus is short-term rehab. If you need long-term care, our social worker will help you find the right setting and explain how Kansas Medicaid works.

Can I continue therapy after I go home?

Yes. Many patients continue outpatient therapy in our gym, usually covered under Medicare Part B.

Plan your recovery before your surgery.

Call admissions seven days a week, or have your surgeon's office send a referral.
