Nursing & rehabilitation · Paris, Texas

Where the wisteria blooms and the nurses stay.

A 96-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center on the east side of Paris, with licensed nurses on every hall, a therapy gym open six days a week and a garden our residents have tended since 1979.

Welcome to Wisteria Gardens

Skilled care, softly given.

The wisteria over our front arbor was planted by our first administrator's mother in 1979. It blooms purple every April, and every April someone's grandchild asks to take a picture under it. We've come to think of it as the best thing about the place: something old and well-tended that still makes people happy.

Behind the arbor is a serious nursing center. Registered and licensed vocational nurses are on every hall around the clock. Our therapists work with stroke, joint-replacement and cardiac patients six days a week. And our long-term residents are cared for by the same aides, on the same halls, year after year.

Words from our families

Mama planted half the roses in that garden when she was a volunteer in the eighties. When it was her turn to live there, the aides wheeled her out every morning to check on them.

Dad has had the same aide on evenings for four years. She sings to him while she helps him get ready for bed.
Carlos M.Son of a long-term resident
In Mom's last weeks, the nurses kept a chair by her bed for me and brought me supper on a tray. I won't forget that kindness.
