Our team

Administrator
Annette has led Wisteria Gardens since 2011. She came up through the business office, so she can explain Medicare days and Medicaid spend-down in plain English.

Director of Nursing
Charmaine has been a nurse in Lamar County for twenty years. She trains every new nurse and aide herself and still rounds on every hall each morning.

Medical Director
An internist in Paris for twenty-five years, Dr. Haynes oversees our clinical program and sees patients here every week.

Director of Rehabilitation
Mateo leads our physical, occupational and speech therapists. He keeps a photo on the gym wall of every patient who has walked out the front door.

Director of Social Services
Rebecca helps families through admission, Medicaid applications and discharge, and she'll sit with you for the hard conversations.

Activities Director
Joy runs the garden club, the hymn sing and the Valentine's dance. She has never once let a resident's birthday go by without a cake.
Sample family reviews
Mama planted half the roses in that garden when she was a volunteer in the eighties. When it was her turn to live there, the aides wheeled her out every morning to check on them.
After my stroke I couldn't lift a coffee cup. Five weeks later I poured coffee for Mateo and the whole therapy team.
Charmaine knows my father's history better than his doctors do. She notices things before they turn into problems.
Rebecca spent two afternoons with us on the Medicaid paperwork. She knew exactly what the state would ask for.
I came for three weeks after my knee replacement and they had me walking the garden path by the second Sunday.
Dad has had the same aide on evenings for four years. She sings to him while she helps him get ready for bed.
In Mom's last weeks, the nurses kept a chair by her bed for me and brought me supper on a tray. I won't forget that kindness.

Call or text Annette, or stop by any afternoon. We'll walk you through the gym, the halls and the arbor.
