Good to know
Questions we hear most
Will Medicare cover my rehab stay?
Original Medicare Part A can cover up to 100 days of skilled nursing and rehab after a qualifying inpatient hospital stay of at least three days. The first 20 days are covered in full; days 21 to 100 have a daily coinsurance. Medicare Advantage plans have their own rules, and we verify yours before admission.
Do you accept Texas Medicaid?
Yes. Texas Medicaid covers long-term nursing facility care for residents who meet medical and financial requirements. Our social services director helps families with the application.
How do I check your quality and inspection results?
Medicare.gov Care Compare lists inspection results, staffing and quality measures for every certified nursing home. Our most recent state survey is also available at the front desk.
Can I come directly from the hospital?
Yes. Ask your hospital case manager to send a referral to Wisteria Gardens. We accept admissions seven days a week.
What should I pack for a rehab stay?
Loose, comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes with backs, glasses, hearing aids, a phone charger and your medication list. We launder and label clothing.
Can families visit any time?
Yes. There are no visiting hours. Join us for a meal, or bring the grandchildren out to the garden.
