Our story

How we got here

A garden planted before the building, and the reasons behind it.

Our story

Why we planted a garden first

Chapter 01

The oaks came first, 2005

Before Coleto Creek had walls, the founders walked the property and marked every live oak with ribbon. The building was designed around the trees, not the other way around.

Chapter 02

A path, not a hallway

Our first therapy director noticed guests walked farther outside than inside. So we built a half-mile path with gravel, grass, curbs, a ramp and a little footbridge, all the surfaces people meet at home.

Chapter 03

Private suites, 2014

We converted every rehab room to a private suite. Better sleep, fewer infections and harder-working guests. It paid for itself in comebacks.

Two languages, one plan

About half our guests are more comfortable in Spanish. Today every therapist, nurse and planner can teach and chart in both languages.
