Short-term rehab · Jonesboro, Arkansas

Every step counts. We ring a bell for the last one.

Physical, occupational and speech therapy six days a week, private suites and a staff that cheers louder than your grandkids. Most guests head home to Northeast Arkansas in under three weeks.

Why it works

Recovery goes faster when it's fun.

We don't pretend rehab is easy. It's hard work, a couple of hours a day, with a body that doesn't want to cooperate. But we've learned that people work harder when they're laughing, when someone knows their name and when there's a little friendly competition in the gym.

So we keep score. We post walking laps on the big board, we celebrate the first time you climb the practice stairs, and on discharge day the whole hall comes out while you ring the brass bell by the front door.

Notes from the bell-ringers

I won the lap board two weeks running and picked banana pudding both times. The other guests have not forgiven me.
Earl T.Rehab guest after hip surgery, 2025
When Mama rang that bell, the nurses and therapists lined the hall clapping. She cried, I cried, the CNA cried.
Tammy R.Daughter of a rehab guest, Paragould
Caleb worked with Dad every day after his stroke. By discharge he was telling his same old jokes again, slower, but just as bad.
Josh B.Son of a stroke rehab guest
Kayleigh had me on the practice stairs on day three after my knee. I hated her a little. Then I walked into my house on day fifteen.
Linda W.Rehab guest, Brookland
Tyrone called every night with an update. I live in Memphis and couldn't visit, so those calls kept me sane.
Andrea M.Daughter of a rehab guest
Rhonda had the shower bench, the walker and the home health nurse set up before I got home. I didn't make one phone call.
Ron G.Rehab guest, Bono
Private room, good food and a staff that laughed with me. If you have to do rehab, do it here.

Our story

How the bell got here

When Crowley's Ridge opened, a retired schoolteacher recovering from a hip fracture brought her old classroom bell from home. She rang it on her way out the door, and a tradition started.
